A Guide to Dumpster Bin Rentals in Vancouver

Dumpster_Bin_Rental.jpgIf you’ve never rented a dumpster before, you’re probably clueless about the options available. Now you’re planning a project, demolition, or big move and you realize that the amount of waste generated will warrant a dumpster bin rental. Here are the options you’ll consider when you rent a dumpster bin in Vancouver.

Length of Time

Are you expecting to use it for a day? A week? A month? The timeframe may affect cost, so obviously reserving for the least amount of time you need is better. But the convenience of having a dumpster bin for longer may be worth a bit more money.

Size

If you can do everything in a few days, you may want a bigger dumpster. If you’ll have a bin for longer, you may want to get something smaller to save on costs. But of course, if you don’t have a big enough dumpster, you’ll have to schedule an additional one. It’s always better to go a bit bigger than not big enough.

Sizes are always going to be 7.5 feet wide but you can get different depths and lengths. The shortest are just 10ft long by 2ft high. The longest are 6ft high by 10ft long. Consider your location, what will fit where you need the dumpster bin rental, as well as the cubic yardage internally which you’ll need for all the junk.

Colour

That’s right, some dumpsters come in a range of colours. While not critical to getting things done, you may appreciate that your dumpster bin rental comes in a fun colour.

Additional Charges

Maximum weight amounts are critical. If the max weight is reached, how much will additional weight cost? Sometimes it’s better to get a bigger bin in order to avoid overweight charges if you’re getting rid of heavy stuff.

Figuring out how much waste you’ll produce is not easy, but knowing your options will help you make a choice based on estimates. If you want pros to help with an estimate or to talk about past projects with similar bin rental needs in Vancouver, give Blitz Junk Removal a call.
